Re: Pledge of Allegiance
You realise you're condoning every past action of the federal government and all its agents, the Supreme Court and entire judicial system, and of all branches of the US military.

Yes I was. It didn't offend me or scar me for life in any way. I'm an atheist, but the Church of England is the established State Religion. I know the CofE has been described as the "Tory Party at prayer", but I must admit I never saw it that way. I'm planning to go and live in Norfolk in my old age, partly because Norfolk has the highest concentration of medieval churches anywhere in the world.

There's nothing wrong with a little sing along to the anthem. I quite like it.
It can be quite rousing on occasion.

I don't think I've ever been anywhere where anyone has sung it - I mean, anyone in the crowd - been lots of places where someone has stood up at the front and sung it, but the rest of the folk just watch politely and clap/cheer at the end. Lets face it, its not an easy one to sing, and to sing it properly, you need to be a pretty good singer....as has been proved countless times by famous (not so good) singers

The only thing they had was one Wednesday morning per month, they would bus K-6 kids to a bible class at the church of their parents choice or the parents could opt to have their kids attend a history class.
