Cant say I've ever had any water spill out of mine when opened and we load that thing up well enough.
I must have had that GE washer and the GE dryer for 20 years or more and haven't had any trouble with either. Quite incredible really.

I don't know about Maytag or LG except that they look nice and pretty pricey to go with it

I know but I had started to reply to yours before it refreshed to show that one. Missed opportunity.

Nutek would have caught that if he wasn't off swanning around various Gregg's locations in the West Country.

I only mentioned "spilling" to indicate how little water is in a front-loader. .... A top-loader is more like a bath tub - has to be substantially filled with water to work, whereas a front loader uses much less water and rotates the clothes through the water.

You know how my washing machine met my criteria for ownership? They came free with my house. It works just fine, we'll probably be buying our next house before we'll need to get a new washing machine.

The only reason I made the comment was to provoke the arguments about washing machines again. But you're so vain that you think this song is about you.

He pops up occasionally, I saw him in a thread the other day. Appeared out of nowhere with a one or two word post then buggered off again.

We are still fulfilling our quota of "I want to move to Orlando" posts, so all seems to be well with the universe.

There are many constants in the world. Planck's constant, Newton's gravitational constant, Desmond Hume and Brits who want to move to Orlando because why wouldn't the US just die for another electrician or hairdresser or recent school leaver with a D and two Es in his A levels?
