Carrefour does 35% cream, I have carton in front of me as I speak, Mata para montar para bater, 35%materia grasa materia gorda. The carton I have is 200ml, also do a large carton 500 ml I thinks, very cheap. The carrefour own make ice cream is brilliant, I like vanilla, but they do loads of different flavours. Ice cream in Spain is far better than any I have tried in UK.

I think the reason that Ice Cream is better here is that ALL of it does contain cream, unlike the UK where a lot of it is made with non dairy materials, and they use REAL flavourings such as true vanilla extract rather than the chemical vanilla essence aften used in the UK.

mrsjdr, pray tell us all, why do you just happen to have a carton of cream in front of you whilst you are finger hopping on the puter, it may be 35% materia grasa materia gorda but never the less it is cream!! Most of us here at BE have a vino, beer or dare I say it water, no not the JDR household they have cream mmmmmmmmmm begs the question.

Beats me too why anyone would want make their own when you can buy a block of lovely creamy ice cream, enough for four servings, the way it used to taste for €1
