As far as the standard/quality of the care provided by the doctors (or if we're honest about it, the nurses) goes - there is really little difference. In my opinion, where the UK is superior is in the method of delivery of that care.
Healthcare is a right, not a privilege. If that makes me a socialist then I guess I'd better go pick up a copy of Das Kapital and start buttoning my shirts all the way to the top button ...

Re: What's your favorite thing about the US?
I like how it's cheaper & easier here in the US to set up a business that basically screws over the customers and/or end users with little gay abandon.
I love that the head of the Police is voted in and then gets to decide which bits of the law he'd prefer to enforce more than others, especially in an election year.
I like the fact that more businesses fail here in the US than almost anywhere else in the West.
And I really love the fact that the above 3 provide such a drive in various combinations for people to have a go at making something for and of themselves. This must be a big factor in the success of the US economy in the last 70 years. I'd rather be starting a business here in the US than back home.

You're welcome. Try to return it next time. 40-love. Strawberries and cream, anyone?

Sorry - been AWOL for a bit.
Oh FFS I never said it was cheaper, just that it's not necessarily cheaper in the US. Simply comparing prices is inaccurate. Other people have done the mathS and shown the actual comparative difference/similarity.
Of course, I say all of this with a positive mental attitude
EDIT:
Effing Teighlight oh ****, this shagging annoying touch keypad on my darling iPad. I meant Twighlight Zone. I haven't been AWOL at all. Just thinking of a different thread. Sorry about that.
But my 'FFS' comment still stands, FFS

Well, haven't checked back on this thread (that I created), in over 3 weeks. And I must say, it's gone to shit. Seems the only people left here are pessimistic trolls. Maybe the reason you hate the US so much is because you spend all day online complaining about it.
Did you not read the original post? Please get lives, then maybe you'll get happy.

Don't want to "waste" karma? LOL. Seriously, nobody in their right mind (which incidentally, is most certainly not you) gives a shit about karma or believes it to be of any importance.
