Anyone care to hazzard a guess on the dry day? Have the folks in town have booked brunch for that Friday... I am fearing the worst that it'll be dry Thurs after 5pm to Friday 7pm....

My company announced we're getting Thursday off.

Saturday is a day in lieu, so we get that day added to our annual leave to be taken anytime we want, including the next day so we choose.

We have a special opening rate of I believe somewhere around AED1500 + 10%, after a while that will go up. We are now working towards the grand opening, 15th of December, although the beach villa’s (which already look amazing!) are due to open in April/May.

Unfortunately this company doesn't work with the special friends & family rate, instead every employee gets a fixed amount per year depending on the grade (for me that is $3000) which we can use in any of the chain’s property’s, it’s pretty hard to finish it all unless you take 2 months leave because we as staff are being charged a corporate rate. But its only applicable to staff and immediate family, only exception is for friends whom you are travelling with and their stay will also be deducted out of your allowance.
