It's absolutely fantastic! The less people who complain, care about others or question their surroundings the better in my book! I simply can't wait to get home from my lovely job, lock myself away in my suburban paradise, safe in the knowledge that *I* have healthcare insurance, as opposed to those lazy ***** in the inner cities (honestly, if they'd only apply themselves, they too could be like me) and sit down in front of the TV to watch Entertainment Tonight.

No.. I don't think it's a good thing that people don't give a shit.

If past posts are anything to go by, I doubt that the OP posted it out of any concern for the country. More likely the opposite.

So what has that to do with being a excellent American?

No I quite agree, its more of a concern for the people living in the country. Most notably the ones that get ****ed on by it.

If it's such an awful place - go somewhere else FFS.
Please stop moaning on.

Because unquestioning, selfish, ignorant, unintelligent, soulless drones are just what the American Government wants.

Well it wants that and it wants their money too.

Well neither you or Elvira have any great love for this country do you?
So I question your motives rather than your concern for the country.

I do care about this country and it's healthcare system, I have my own business and pay 100% of the cost of health insurance for myself and my family. I don't need to read the Independent to tell me or some toffy nosed **** from Putney to tell me.

Like I said, it is a genuine concern for the people in the country that get the rough end of it, and I personally know quite a few. Whether I love the country and system or not somewhat gets blurred by the fact that I do love an American and care about what happens to his family and our friends that live in the States. I also have two members of my own family that live there. So whilst your right, I personally dont like it, to say I dont care about what happens there is not true.

I would also point out to both yourself and AmerLisa that if you look at the comments and the timestamps on this thread you'll realise this hasnt come about by a desire to go over old news - even if it is confirmation its getting worse. It has developed in reaction to the steroetypical I'm alright Jack attitudes of 'some' American's that fuel the problem.

I will point out - as I'm going to do in another thread....that if you only look at the negatives, you'll never see the positives. I'm going to say that nothing is perfect, not here, not there, not 20 miles down the road.....its what you make it to be. Read Sugarmomma's thread.....very enlightening on what hard work and positive outlooks can do for a life.
