We are all different people on here and we have all had different experiences in life whether good or bad. Glad 2 b back had some bad experiences in Spain, so much so that she may come across a quite bitter about the country. But I for one dont think she is a bad person or a pain in the rear. I actually liked to read her posts and will miss her.
I hope everything works out for G2bb, my love and best wishes for you and your family and your life in the Uk.

I don't think you were out of line at all Tim, I think the comments about the education system not being supirior the that of England was a bit strange, of course, it could have been based on her experiences with the school her child attended, I have had experiences of both good and bad schools in the U.K,and am sure its no different anywhere else in the world, there will be both extremes, and there will be the middle ground.
From what I have researched (YES, I HAVE looked into it in depth) the Spanish system does seem superior to that of the ordinary run of the mill comp here, The kids certainly seem to turn out to be better people, I have spent the afternoon with my child at a local skate part, and while impressed by the athletic endevours of these kids(how on earth do they manage to do the stunts is beyond me) judging by the general vocabulary bandied about, they did not spend as much time developing their use of the English language as they did learning how to ride a bike or use a skateboard.
I don't blame Glad for being bitter, she did have a very bad experience of Spain, but it could have just as easily happened in Bulgaria or any of the other areas that now have a large ex-pat contingent.
I choose to take the views that show a positive side to moving to Spain, they seem to outweigh the negatives.
