Re: Very Annoyed

It's chipboard. We are aware this choice is not for everyone. For our new kitchen we were asked if we wanted bespoke base and wall units. We had a metalbathroom cabinet at our old house in the UK and...

Re: Very Annoyed

Plumbers came here yesterday to fit the glass partition. We also had a chat about replacing the tile as as per above there's the risk the plasterboard could get damaged which they also explained...

Re: Very Annoyed

The tiles are new and only put on about three weeks ago. I never thought about the risk of a hole in the wall or plasterboard. This makes it more of a very stupid thing to do to fit the mirror...

Re: Very Annoyed

All that needs to be done is for the 60 x 20 tile to be removed and replaced with a new one. As explained 8cm is behind the washing machine/dryer cupboard which has no backing so can be reached if...

Re: Very Annoyed

Pulaski - Would I have the wall tile replaced? You're damn right I would!
That's my current thinking. The plumbers fitting the shower pole and shower head asked us where we'd like it and they got...

Very Annoyed

Had plumbers and electrician here last week to fit all the fixtures, washbasin and mirror cabinet. Jeez, I couldn't believe how low they had fitted the mirror cabinet. It meant if I wanted to splash...

Re: Bird nesting and trimming hedges

Oh damn, I really do need to trim one hedge because it's starting to overhang a neighbours fence.

Bird nesting and trimming hedges

With the warmish weather we're having lately is it too late to trim hedges? We're seeing quite a few birds going in and out of our hedges.

Re: Reversing onto driveway

Done. I have pinpointed two roads in Màlyi. On one road there's a nursery day care centre, community cenre, library and children's play area. On another road it's where those going towards or...

Re: Solar Panels - how many is too many?

I have local friends like that. They got a grant for triple glazing and 20cm insulation. When it's cold they still refuse to fire up the CH Woodburn despite having three years free supply of...

Re: Solar Panels - how many is too many?

I've not seen any electric cars on site when I've walked past and not seen any commercial vans going in and out. No business signage and no grow-op smells coming from there. AC units - I forgot to...

Solar Panels - how many is too many?

Obviously, this depends on what they are being used for. There's a nearby property with 15 x 2, 6 x 2 and ten more clustered together. That's a total of 52. The property appears to be a large 3...

Re: Property Purchase

When I get my UK state pension in late 2025 I'm going to try claim for it but knowing DWP it's a 110% certainty I won't get it. My Hungarian wife could qualify so she might try to claim it. We both...

Re: Reversing onto driveway

I, too, note many villagers, including those with small children walk on the road and not sidewalk. There's too many trip hazards.
I note most of the drivers who speed live the furthest away from...

Re: Reversing onto driveway

I won't be very popular if it came out it was me!

This morning I witnessed a car overtaking another past two T-junctions.

Re: Reversing onto driveway

Thank you. There's actually been quite a few occasions when this has happened. I think next time I'll hit the hazard warning lights to be on the safe side! Worst case scenario I don't want to hit...

Reversing onto driveway

On quite a few occasions with our road clear I've reversed onto our driveway and suddenly another car is "bombing" down our road at speed. There's a small bump between the road and driveway so often...

Re: Vehicle nightmare

Glad you got this sorted. I don't blame you for 'falling out' with the car.
Maybe before your new car purchase buy an extendable selfie stick so you can inspect the underneath and any other places.

Re: Bath Room Electrical Sockets

I've looked at infrared bathroom heaters and most they are either 60cm x 60cm or 30cm x 90cm. Neither lengths seem suitable. One big issue is the length of the electricity cable which are usually...

Re: Bath Room Electrical Sockets

Sorry, I didn't tell the truth .... we have had a wet room installed in an unused space in our garage. Our previous car, Suzuki SX4 S-Cross was too long in fit in our garage, partly due to a...
