Rosemunde in Oakland and SF. Whilst they don't typically do English style bangers, their sausages are of great quality.

I'm going through a whisky phase right now. Mitcher's rye on the rocks is what I gravitate towards. Also Old Potrero if it's available, because it's local and bloody excellent, or Hudson Bay.

I don't think I have ever had mind-blowingly good pizza until I moved to San Francisco - 22 years wasted on subprime pizza I guess - so I guess I take a different stance on the use of milder cheeses...

I was 16 at the time, I handled it very badly. It didn't help that I'm pretty introverted and was super shy at the time, so the extra attention on being foreign and not from a third world country...

The flip side is that, especially in design and other visually creative fields, it's generally a good thing to bounce around a little to find what it is that you want to do should you want to go on...
