After struggling to find any decent shows since we got here - there seems to be a load on now. Went to Five Finger Death Punch, Volbeat and Hell Yeah 2 weeks ago, and Black Dahlia Murder, Suicide Silence and Chelsea Grin last week.
Got Onslaught next week, and then Whitechapel the week after. Slipknot and Korn are lined up for December too.
Impressive.

Might try Thursday night Jazz at the coffee shop

I want to see some Jazz at Birdland one night - just waiting for someone I know to play. The Django Reinhardt stuff looks like it could be good.

Hey thought of this tonight - there was a cool jazz event in campus with the 'Matt Ridley Trio', superb stuff.

Wife wanted to see another Cirque du Soleil show - actually wanted to see the Michael Jackson one but it's off for a couple of weeks around her birthday. So we've got Zumanity instead. Tits for me, hunks for her, we're easily pleased Staying for "free" at the Palazzo on IHG points.

Finally going to see Purple Reign in Vegas this weekend! Celebrating a very late 10th wedding anniversary, staying 2 nights at The Venetian.

Next Sunday is Los Straitjackets, who are a surf rock band I'm in to. And then The Oh Sees in December, who will slay.

I'm beyond excited that the Foo Fighters are playing 3 miles from my house in September 2015. Tickets go on sale at the box office, to walk ups, on Saturday morning. So I'll be up bright and early.

We've been waiting for the tour dates to be released today, expecting to have to drive to Oakland or San Francisco at best.

It will be great to see them at an outdoor venue, my ears might not bleed for a week afterwards this time

Me too. LA. I'll die happy.

Check out their HBO show

And it was good. It was actually a combination of fun and sensual so one moment you'd be crying with laughter, the next amazed at two semi naked ladies doing a kind of synchronised "swim" in a giant wine glass (topless ). Perhaps not the huge production values of the more well known Cirque shows but OTOH a little cheaper and a smaller theater so you don't need binoculars.

Have you seen them before? They are amazing, and play for hours. I'm always surprised how good Grohls voice is after all that yelling, he's a great frontman too, not just a stand and sing man.

We don't get HBO, so I've got to wait until it's available elsewhere

Yup, their energy is incredible.
I was knackered just listening.

One of my top five gigs with Queen, The Jam, Clash, Rush, Huey Lewis and the News..

(I know that's six.)
