Don't know about Melbourne but I've just paid $7850 from Sydney to Wales. Plus insurance of 3.5%. That was for 20 foot container.

Thanks! Kids have made decision themselves really and he's not a complete git that would stop them coming. Fortunately he earns a good salary so will be able to see them quite often.
