One of the funniest things I've seen here is a guy near our office sweeping the sand on the road with a broom. Talk about pointless.

It's all madness. They're talking about builidng 200-floor, 1000m high buildings in other places. Can you imagine living on the 186th floor? Dubai is actually quite a windy place, even at Ground...

That's what I don't get. They still need low to middle-income people to work here when it's all finished, you know cleaners, hotel and restaurant staff and the like, but they seem to be building...

I also work near Wafi and it takes me 32 minutes to get to work on average (from Springs). This morning the roads were a little busier (Al Khail / Oud Metha) but nothing terrible.

Has anyone used...

There you go. Not an over-reaction then. When I drove to work this morning it was smoking, but didn't look too bad. I heard that it started at about 4am.

It said they were closed on the radio, and some of our people come across the Garhoud bridge and said it was closed.

The obscenely rich people who own these islands will hire someone to give a shit about it. It's not that difficult to set up sanitation, water and electricity - just treat it like you would any...

I'm off to design the Burj-al-Shisha, with real smoke coming from it.

Then I'll design the Burj-al-LandCruiser, with flashing lights and blacked-out windows, naturally.
