May I offer an example : a young man, nz citizen I spoke to yesterday has been working 7 days a week for two years to save 20k - he wanted to be ahead of the game when paying for his 4-year teaching...

good stuff - just a note: some nz citizens who hold a special category visa are also eligible for hecs, and also people on humanitarian visas
