As ridiculous as it sounds, the later option has been put forward every now and again by fringe politicians. I don't think anyone takes this seriously though.

Well, as a Kiwi myself I concur. Although we work together in many areas, we are indeed proudly independent from Australia - of course, every now and then that old suggestion rears its head about NZ...

The age rise to 35 for WHVs has not happened yet, and there's no solid indication of it happening any time soon unfortunately.

The raise in age limit to 35 is yet to become reality. I think it will, but exactly when is anyone's guess at this stage.

As stated above, you need to get some work experience first. Be patient and get a couple of years under your belt.

Depending on your age, there's always the Working Holiday Visa option of course....
