Hazzah! Passport arrived today with the visa in it! A friend of mine has a private plane, so we are flying down to the states for the weekend...then back up to Canada on Sunday to land. :)

this is the link to the ECAS (https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/) page.
You need your client ID number, which should be on documents you receive from the Canadian government (mine for example...

Me too! Wow, 173 days from the date the paperwork was sent for my wife's approval (subtract 17 days for her approval). Fingers crossed only 3 weeks (21 days) left!

I the ECAS tracker email came in at 4AM EST Canada. So 30 or so mins before vince's. I guess they just do it in the AM?

Bert I never got any of my stuff back, I guess my wife (or I am?) just too...

I think your best bet is to try and decipher (try getting some friends to read the letter?) what exactly they want from you, just odd that they would send a 60 day letter to you if they didn't need...

As smivers says, it seems to all be different. Typical government, you have to do everything to the letter and they seem to have a random way of doing things!

I sent mine at the same time, and it has always said "Medicals Received" on the ECAS thingie. You have to click the "In Process" (it's a link), and the next page should say something like:

I don't understand that. Your application being in final review for that amount of time!
My lawyer got hold of them the other day, apparently they are still waiting on my New Zealand police...

Well I just got the request for my New Zealand police clearance though, they haven't asked from a Malaysian or Chinese one. If all they want is a NZ one, I am happy. Just have to have it done in 60...

So the average is about 53 days (if you take Weaver out the average falls to 36 days), not including those who are still waiting.
283 is the longest
14 the shortest

Lol, I hope it doesn't get to that point! I can't stand CSI (although I have watched most of the Holmes on Homes...scared to buy somewhere in Canada now).

I just wish there was an end date, it is...
