Where are the oranges from? They mark of authenticity is when orange colouring rubs off on your hands after handling them at the supermarket.

From Kolkhoz Number 27 in the Islamic Republic of Uzbekistan.

Incidentally has no one else noticed that we have lost "The Great Game" and the bearded loonies are now running Central Asia ?

Prices here do seem to be rising, albeit not too rapidly. My regular DOH-BKK-DOH flight has increased in price by about 20% though. No doubt on the reduced competition.

Do you guys reckon it is safe to return to work in Qatar, or is it better to keep out until the ongoing spat is resolved. I'm worried about things deteriorating and potentially being stuck there.

I've left a couple of shabby suits in my apartment, not much else, and the Sunny rental car is off hire

What to do?

I used to buy QR "buy 1 fly 2" from Bkk to Vie every autumn. Wonder if this will be offered again this year? 104thou THB in C was unbeatable.

Yep 3 months on that diet and you get a sudden urge to go to Wal Mart, or become a contractor in eyerak
