Regarding the question of one way/onward tickets the issue will be raised at check in at the departure airport and not necessarily at immigration. Airlines face hefty fines if they carry passengers without correct travel documents/tickets.. Be advised

Well we arrived in the Philippines. Checked in at airport and no one batted a eyelid.To the extent we were 15kgs over our 60kj baggage allowance, did not even question us. We were carrying with us 2 pet cats, they were more intrested in playing with the cats.
On arrival at Manila, we were given the usual balibayan stamp (even though neither of us hold Filipino passports!!). We went through customs and walked straight through with the cats.
So much for all the scaremongering, or we must look like saints.

Can I ask you for some info on the documentation you needed to take your cats to Fils and how you managed to get permission to carry them on board rather than in the hold. My wife has a parrot which she wants to take to Fils and not sure the requirements.
