Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland
Most people don't get notification from CIC that their applications have been received or are in process. The only communication you get Is the confirmation that you've been approved as a sponsor, and that message had the numbers in it. That's why is recommended you send yourapplication by registered post - it's often the only confirmation you have!

To richtee and tracykate (congrats on sponsor approval!), may I ask how long after your applications arrived in Mississauga did you receive notice from CIC that they had your application and sent you your ecas details? We had notification from FedEx that our applications were delivered a week ago this past Friday and I know it's early to start worrying but I'm just curious as to early timelines... thank you!!
I had not heard anything from CIC until yesturday!!! I knew my paperwork arrived as i sent it recorded delivery with UPS.
Just hold in there, I was the same started to worry about mine 2/3 weeks after sent.

Thanks everyone for your replies . My mind is such a muddle after pulling all that info together that I couldn't remember exactly what to expect! Good luck to everyone during this nail-biting time!

Wanted to send a quick update. Finally got the Sponsor Approval E-mail today. 118 days via Ottawa Pilot. What a huge relief! Here's hoping London are quicker for us than Canada was..

Dear All,
As you know my wife has her spousal apporval letter (27th June) and we are now awaiting london visa office to approve my PR - I cannot wait this long, so my question to you guys here is;
can i fly over to canada right now and start living there as of tommrow - is there any implications of doing so apart from i cannot work? Can i go on the basis that my wife has been approved as a sponser? But then again what if for some unknown reason I dont get my PR from London?
Any feedback will be much appercaited.

re: Timeline For Spousal Sponsorship via London & Inland
My COPR arrived this week!! For anyone interested my timeline is this:
Application received by CPC-M - Feb 20th
Sponsor approval - May 9th
RIght to permanent residence fee requested - July 25th
COPR recieved - August 29th
I'm going to try and land at the CIC office in Calgary since I have a valid work permit and my COPR is good til December, plus at 7 months pregnant I don't overly fancy a 4 hour drive to the border!
Thanks to everyone on here, I never had to ask any questions as they had all already been answered, but I found all the information very useful
Good luck to everyone still waiting
