We just had a great day out in Portugal, I took a few photos but not many but they are attached, just use the arrow keys to move between the photos(not in any order).
- Go to Altura for coffee in the morning.
- Walk the beach either direction - or both.
- Drive to Cacela Velha . The 'long way' - passing the first sign. You will then be coming to CV West to East. Ocean on yr right.
- Stop in wonderful Fabrica (our favourite beach area).
- There is a kiosko in the carpark. We sat under the palm trees overlooking the rio Formosa with a drink, and watching the boat taxi take people past the RF to the coast line. Just 1 Euro. Maybe ride the taxi (we didn't this time). This is a wonderful place changing all the time depending on the tides. With an out tide, you can walk/paddle all the way to the sand ridge the taxi takes you to.
- Visit the beautiful Cacela Velha, the prettiest village in the region, with wonderful views of the RF from on high, and again always changing with the tides.
- Have a nice lunch somewhere (see resto thread). Perhaps Praia Verde or Cabeco beach restos. But plenty of choice. We visited Cabeco.
- Go to Praia Verde and the wonderful Guarita bar to the right of O Infante 2 Panoramico. Great views, a bit pricey but you get what you pay for (small beer 2, Wine 3 Eur)
- When leaving PV go straight across the 125 and take the scenic route to Monte Francisco.
- Have a drink at the wonderful terrace of Quinta do Vale Golf club and switch the ocean views at PV, with those overlooking the River, CE, Spain etc.
- Stop at the terrace of 19H (after 1 July they are open from 12:30, currently 5pm. It was closed today, we hoped it would be open after 4pm).. and we could have gone to the terrace of the GC, but decided to head home as BH fancied a swim in the pool
Hard life!!
Have fun

It has been there for about 3 weeks. Javier doesn't know where it came from but he has spoken to the police about it and they aren't interested.
