"Free" money
Everyone had their Family Assistance bonus?
I was most surprised to see ours has been paid in already as from reading the centrelink website it said we'd have to wait until the end of the year when we claim our FTB. Great news though as I can pay off another chunk of my May flights.
What's everyone else doing with theirs?

Re: "Free" money
I got a nasty feeling we miss out on these 'cos last year Ihad a high taxable income (wont THIS year - but thats irrelevant - its last years income that they're counting)...
Not sure exactly who qualifies for what - so *if* the mrs gets a handout for earning less than the cut-off and *if* we get anything for Family Tax Beneif A, B,C etc etc ... then it'll be swallowed up in debt reduction...
(Having said that we are about to spend $$$s on fence repairs from last Novembers storm that werent covered by insurance - so we will be contributing to the economy somehow...)

I would have voted but I don't believe we are getting the "free money".
I'd be great if the mods could change the poll to include a response for those of us who won't be getting it.

I wonder if this poll will reflect the effects of the first package: 20% on spending, the balance of 80% saved / debt reduction.
Today is the first day of payments, and they will continue for two weeks on the normal FTB pay dates.
Ours is tomorrow

True enough, I just think it would be interesting to know that's all. It certainly won't skew the results at all since those that are getting it can choose one of the options listed, and those that aren't could pick not getting it.
