I've been reading through the main forum, alot of heavy threads, and I know its going to be the biggest thing we have ever done in our lives,but I'm starting to feel ahhh s*#t.
I want it to be 2007 already with a job in the Gold coast,kids in school and a beautiful house.
Is it just this long wait thats the torture? :scared:

By the way what would you be happy with wage wise as a head chef or senior sous?

The general concensus Mick is around the $65k mark, obviously with the Oirish being as loved as they are I can see you with your own daytime telly show

Steve has been looking at postions $65K & above........ we have found out that if we can bring in a salary of $1100+ a week we should be able to get a mortgage for $400,000 which will get us the kind of home we would like!

Dunno about cheffing jobs - or any other jobs in Australia, because I'm not planning to go there myself. My Mum is the one who wants to go there, and I'm helping her.

As you say, though, the wait is sheer hell, and it is a wonder that any applicants or their close rellies actually survive the torture for long enough to get out there other than in a box!
