Default Technical Project Manager

Dear All

What a fantastic site!! I would like to know is there are requirements for technical project managers in Oz. Currently, i run projects ranging from £30,000 to £3 million. The projects are in defence engineering but predominately that means mechanical engineering.

I am educated to degree level with several years as a project engineer and several years of a project manager.

What do people think my chances are of finding a technical project managers role.

Regards

Mike

Hiya,
yes there are definately opportunities over here for him, especially if he has good english.
There are several things you can do.
One is if you want me to have to look at his CV and see if I can recommend him for any positions or companies
OR
you can have a look on seek.com or my career.com both of which are job sites where you can search through and look for positions that he might like to apply for
OR
you can apply for a skilled migration visa yourselves (on line)if you fit the criteria and get here then apply for work. There are plenty of jobs available in a variety of industries.
The only people who don't work here, don't want work. It really depends on your financial position.
Hope that helps
Kind regards
Heather

Hi Heather,

Are you accepting CV's from everyone?
What type of recruitment do you specialise in?

Cheers!

Wink Re: Technical Project Manager

Hiya,
I will be pleased to look at your cv if you email it to my work address which is [email protected] then I can process it properly.

I will email you from my private address about the formalities of applying for visas etc (my address is [email protected] - so it does not end up in your junk folder!)
To the other person who asked if I couold do that for anyone else - why yes .
We encourage overseas applicants. The list is quite extensive - Project Engineers, Chemical Engineers, Environmental Engineers, Risk Managers, Scientists, Hse's, Senior Nursing, Sub sea divers, anyone with oil gas or mining experience, accountants, gosh the list goes on and on.

We have two ways of doing things - if we have a client with the kind job you are looking for - we can put you forward. The other way is if you have experience and qualifications in a certain field or industry, we can approach our clients with your CV and see if they have a need.

It really does depend on what you do. There are so many jobs here.

Anyone can always drop me their cv to my work address - can you just make sure you put in the title what your job is and 'enquiry from british expats'

For instance Re: Techinal Engineer - enquiry from Xpats (or similar)

The reason, is so I know its one of you guys NOT someone just sending one in. We look at them all -but I will make a point of looking straight away and getting back to you.
If that makes sense.

We keep all cv's so that even if we can't place someone at the time - if a company is looking for a particular placement - then we can go back and pick you out - see if you are still available/interested.

Hope that helps.
Cheers
Heather
