Hi, am just about to book to do the hairdressing course on the sunshine coast and would love to hear from anybody now doing it or due to start the same course as me next July.
We are looking at moving over end May time to sort kids schools and rental out etc....
Any advice on areas, schools, rentals etc...would be great.
Also info on the course itself, whats good, bad, what to expect, how many days will I be there, work experience etc etc.....

I'm on hairdressing course at sunshine coast started in jan
The area is lovely, i don't have kids but people on the course do, mountain creek school is meant to be good
You will be at college 3 days a week and will have a work placement 1 day week in a salon. you will then have to get your 900 hours up, I enjoy hairdressing which helps!
So expect it to be hard work but its worth it, i love it here and do not intend to return to uk any time soon!

Hi
I came over on a Student Visa 2 1/2 years ago and went to Brisbane School of Hairdressing. If you are are thinking of applying for permanent residency after check that TAFE provides you with 900 hours work experience. You need 900 hours working on clients to be able to pass TRA. At B.S.H. after 12 weeks we were on the floor cutting, colouring, perming etc.
