All work at home schemes are cons. ;-) (Sorry !)
Rumour had it - many years ago - that the net would allow us all to work from the freedom of our own homes. Never happened, unfortunately. As for "home work" schemes, the whole market is riddled with people who`ll take a fee for arranging "consultancy and advice services" for people wanting to work from home - and that`s the last you ever see of them. Either that or it`s piecework - poorly paid envelope stuffing jobs. The real criminal bosses in the employment world go in for that one - you send off 100 envelopes, they claim 90 aren`t done to their standards. That kind of thing.
As for starting a home business without any capital..... good luck. Sadly, ideas without capital are useless. Anyone prepared to lend you money on a business idea definitely wants proof that they can recoup their money - ie., "What assets can they sieze if something goes wrong ? " - people don`t tend to realise that, when they start a business, it`s much better to go to the bank manager and you ARE laying your house and livelihood on the line - as that`s the only collateral most people have. Venture capitalists and business angels want a controlling stake in any business they help set up - and they`re ruthless, as the option is always there for the owner to liquidate the business 18 months down the road after making some of his own capital and developing the contacts himself.
Really, the most difficult thing about starting a business isn`t having the idea - we all have ideas - it`s having the money. Idea +money = business, idea + $0 is - sorry to say it- pipe dream.

Spent six months looking for any work which would allow me to stay in Southern Russia and telework - everything from remote database admin to stuffing envelopes. No go.
I`ve been running my own home consultancy (diamonds) for a couple of years without much success, but I`m moving to Florida soon to join a friends` (existing) business.
