Cool Help Please

Could anyone please advise be the best way forward

I am 34 years old married with 2 children, i did hairdressing when i left school and again city and guilds level 1 and 2. The salon closed down after 3 years and i never carried hairdressing on until the past 2 years i went back to college and gained my NVQ level 2 and 3 in hairdressing and level 2 in barbering, I am not sure how long i need to work in a salon before i can apply and for how many hours.

Could I apply for a working visa for 12 months in Australia (perth) in hairdressing and would my family be able to come out to Australia or just myself.

I am going for a holiday next week in perth to see my brother but he has only been out there 6 months so i no he cant sponsor me and my family.

Not sure if there is an easy way forward, I would be very great full for any advise
thanks alot :

hi there

i applied after being out of hairdressing for a few years i had to work in a salon for at least a year before i could even apply for the tra trade assessment. i applied on a family sponsered visa do you know how long your brother has to be in aus before he can sponser you?
the trade assessment takes ages to get together as you need alot of info and letters from old employers (relating to hair )
the best advise i can give you is dont be put off by all the stuff you have to do for the tra assessment as the more you look into the easier it is ( i might be stating the obvious) but it does look daunting when you first start
if you need any help i dont mind if you contact me

good luck sam x

I know of a family owned mens salon south of perth who are willing to sponsor. If you contact me when you are over we can discuss (i'm not an agent!). Message me by pm if you want my contact details.

Im desparate to get the answer to this one 2 for my friend.

Shes just passed NVQ2 and is now doing barbering...How long does she have to be working in a salon before applying for TRA assessment...Does anyone know the definative answer to that one. On a normal skilled visa. Hopefully from there own experience...?
