Exclamation help- infor needed?

Not sure if there is anyone out there who can help. i am a probation officer and want to move to oz in about 18 months 2yrs. I have been told that Probation Officers are in demand over there but only score 40 on work related points so obviously not!! i want to move to sydney and just wondering if anyone knows what the chances are of me getting a job n parole/probation and if indeed Probation officers are in demand. Long shot i know!!!

I know when I applied, my agent told me that my skill had recently been taken off the fast track, though I still had 60 points and got my visa which came thru in 7 months.

He said that particular roles for fast track come up and go quite quickly, and the regular points system shouldnt be used to necesarily judge if that skill is currently in demand. There is an old story, whether its true or not I dont know, but it was told by my agent that a guy who worked for the council on highway maintenance desperately wanted to move to Oz but he didnt have the points. Then, somewhere down the line he got in as they couldnt find anybody to paint the white lines on a huge highway in the middle of nowhere over here!

So, apparently there is some dynamic list of currently required skills which maybe an agent, or immagration can confirm/help you with. I dont know, i am just going on here say.

My other suggestion is to find a specialist recruitment agency who might be able to advise you, just not sure if they get that specialised!
