Default Cooks Dilema!

Hi all, get a drink and settle down for this!!
Here is a hum dinger for ya!!
This forum has been fab for info and stuff, but as you all probably know once you make the decision to go,its like aghhh!!where the f.. do ya start!!
we had already decided to emigrate somewhere and my partner started a plumbing course last year,he is a firefighter and has 4 on 4 off so bit off free time to train,I am a cook but not with any formals except for BFH,grew up in pubs and was always chucked in the kitchen from young age as i loved it,i am famous for buffets locally( got 3 next month),and although i have always worked outside off catering untill 2yrs ago,all be it keeping my hand in the pie so to speak!(partners in a famous takeaway, buffet once a month etc)But since reading up and even top chefs seem to be having probs with tra and stuff,i feel cheeky even calling myself a cook!Working at mo with Aramark as a kitchen assistant(low paid but thought it would help cause) and realising maybe i aint gonna get trained as much as i would like with company, enrolling at college for anything basic qualification and upwards,
Ya still reading??!!! Bless you! have another!
So......... the main thing i was gonna ask is,in anyones opinion on this forum, which i would value a lot,is it worth me puttin in as a cook,or will we have a better chance, riding in on a new qualified plumber?

Itching to get ball rolling,as his mum and dad are so happy we are gonna go for it,plus we been talkin about for too long want to jump inhead first without armbands on,be it well informed!
Anyhoo thanks to all for reading and not falling asleep!
Best wishes to all fellow nutters
Michele and gorgeous

Not sure what the deal is as a cook but for a chef app. I had to submit at least 9 years of work experience, references, qualifications etc. However the main deal for any Tra app is PROVING your experience and ability, you may well get in, I'd suggest a chat with an agent tho'. Talk to these guys and you'll get a free opinion via Email, they got us our Tra in 1 month flat and the visa in 3 months!
