Default Cooks!

I keep seeing people refer to chefs but as far as the visa is concerned there is a big difference between a chef and a cook. I am currently retraining as a cook for the purposes of the visa, my normal job is train driver but this is no use to me for getting out to Perth. I was a cook in the RAF many moons ago hence me having to reskill up. I am currently in the very early stages of application, not at the TRA stage yet but will be soon. any adice offered would be gratefully recieved.

Both are 60 point occupations its just that Chefs are in demand everywhere where as with Cooks you may be more limited.

Well done on retraining anyway.

I got into Oz with my TRA as a COOK, you will be fine in finding work out there, no problem what so ever!!! I was offered 3 jobs in one day....employers will generally look at your experience rather than asking for a TRA certificate....I wasn't asked for one once when I lived there for a year.

good luck
