Hi, I am a GCSE Cooking Teacher (Food Tech) but cannot apply to Oz through the teaching route as I did a Graduate Teacher Programme which is not recognised in Oz. I am now looking at different options.
I have a BSc (Hons) Nutrition degree, cook at school, know about different types of equipment, functions and properties of food, seasonings, healthy eating etc. My questions are....
1) If I was to take an evening college course to gain a 'Cook' qualification what level NVQ would I need for the 'Cook' visa?
2) Do you think cooking at school would count as expereince?... or would I need to get a part time job as well?
3) If anyone knows of another way I might get a visa with my degree, I would be really grateful.
Thanks

sorry really not good at 'what you will need' I know most of us are city and guilds or btec students with something like 900 hours of college, with active work experience. Could you get in touch with an agent that could point you in the right direction?
Feel free to PM me as we have a fantastic agent, and good luck with your dream
