Contracting for a UK firm - in the US
Hi everyone,
I'm going to be leaving for the US on the 14th September to be with my husband. I will have a green card. I have resigned from my UK job but I have arranged with my current employers to work with them on a consultancy basis for an indeterminate amount of time while in the US. I will also be working on my and my hubby's web sites and also searching for another job.
My question is: can anyone point me to any internet-based resources that can give me general advice about taxation when I'm working in the US in this manner? I'm planning to have my expenses paid into my UK bank a/c.

You may possibly have a UK tax liability you'll need to offset against US tax, if the UK personal allowance isn't enough to cover it
