hi Kat,
I'm same trade.
have you tried looking on seek.com for jobs?
If you know whereabouts your heading try searching the local pares online.
We did our reccie in april and found from talking to friends that have been out there for a while now that agencies seem like a lot of hard work, form filling etc when they have all found jobs, cnc machinists,turner/miller etc by knocking on doors and getting out there. Also worth trying yellow pages in your chosen area which is what I did while out there and got some points of contact, have stayed in touch since being home and it's done something posative.hope this helps.
Just noticed we're down the road from you!
