Default CALLING ALL MECHANICS/SERVICE GARAGE MANAGERS

Hi,

My husband and I are thinking of emigrating to Melbourne next year, if he doesn't train to be a plumber then he will have to find a decent job.

He is a mechanic by trade (no paper qualifications - didn't need them in the 80's) but he has been a service garage manager for the last 15 years at a few major service companies.

What are the opportunities for becoming a service garage manager in Melbourne, which companies would you recommend to try and how much is the basic pay??

He is multi-talented, as he is an MOT tester, can build exhausts from scratch, fix motorbikes, is very particular with welding and has excellent diagnostic skills and years of experience, he's not afraid of getting his hands dirty!!

Thanks

Tanya
