Where in the world?
Hey Guys!
So I am new in this forum and wanted to say a hello to you all! Can't wait to hear all about everyone's travels and adventures!
I am a huge travel junkie and I am planning my next big adventure having lived in Utah for the last 9months…my job means I tend to move about and experience new places all the time to inspire my work! I would really love to head to Belgium but the other half is not so keen…he wants to go a little more extreme!
I took a lighthearted quiz to inspire me recently and this has sparked some interest…I should head to South Africa it tells me. Apparently my lifestyle and likes suit SA…somewhere I never thought I would go to? Have any of you lived there previously? I am looking to reside for between 4-9 months.
Also, intrigued to know where in the world you think you should be? VS Where in the world you would like to be?
Any feedback to help me on my way would be great!

Re: Where in the world?
Hi, and welcome to BE.
I guess the first question is are you a Brit? If so, you can't stay in SA for longer than 90 days without a visa I believe.
Although as you've been in the US for 9 months you obviously had to get a visa to stay there that long too, so I'm sure you're no stranger to bureaucracy!
I've visited SA and loved it, just the most beautiful country.
Best of luck deciding.

Out of interest, how did you get a B1 for the US? It's so unusual for a British citizen to get one unless of retirement age, so I'm intrigued!

Welcome to BE. We do have an SA forum that has quite a few active members in it, that would be the best place to go on here for visa / general SA advice. It is located here South Africa - British Expats
Also make sure you familiarise yourself with our Site Rules, and the FAQ, which will help you with most questions you may have about the site. Otherwise post in Site Feedback and/or PM Sue, the admin, if you have any questions/issues.
Happy posting!

Hello and a big welcome to BE.
Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.
Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.
Please contact me if I can give you any further help.
