I'm Lisa, 32, married and have 2 girls under 5. I currently live in Zurich, we moved here 16months ago from the northeast of England with my husbands work. He has recently had a job offer in Perth and we are considering making the move hence why I have joined this forum to pick Everyone's brains as to the pros and cons of moving to Australia/Perth.

I would really appreciate any info anyone can give me about lifestyle, schools, family accommodation etc, is it a great place to bring up my girls? I am a full time mother at the moment and may return to work in the future (as a nurse) but wondered how easy it is to meet up with other mums etc and make friends.

You definitely would benefit from checking out our Australia forum where you can chat to lots of pother folks living and working in Perth.
You will find it by clicking the 'forum index' tab on the top left of this page. Scroll down the listed countries double click Australia and you're in.

We also have a forum for those in the nursing profession which you will find also on the forum index in the section after the listed countries entitled "working abroad by profession". There you can chat with others in your profession who are also working down under as expats
