Default Studying in Australia!

Hello,

I just have some queries about studying in Australia. I live in the UK and I know to do a midwifery degree here the NHS would pay your fees but obviously Australia does not have the NHS so I was wondering if there is another way to get funded to study there?

Any information on Midwifery degrees in Australia and the funding for them would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks so much,

Hi Sophie...welcome to BE.

Thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself to us...it's always nice to welcome new members to our cyber community of expats.

I'm sorry I can't help answer your question about nursing in Australia...I think it would be best if you repost your questions in the Australia Forums. We have quite a few members who are nurses in Oz...they may be able to help you. The link I have given you will take you to the main index page of the Australia Forum...at the top of the page you will see a list of sub forums. The top forum is the Immigration Forum...the Main forum is for topics relating to Australia and The Barbie is for general chit chat.

Another forum that may be useful to you is the Nursing Forum. The BE Wiki...is also a mine of information about moving to Australia.

Before you begin posting please take time to read through the Site Rules and any stickied threads or announcements that may be posted at the top of each forum's index page.

Kelli28 is the concierge for the Australia forums...so if you have any problems finding your way around our many forums please contact Kelli.

For all other concerns or problems please contact a moderator or admin. Every BE forum has at least one moderator dedicated to that forum...Australia has 4...Cresta57, Monneypenny20,, Sonlymewalter and Alistairboyle.

I hope you enjoy your time with us and don't forget to shout out should you require any help.

Hi Sophie,

Welcome to BE. I'm sure you will pick up lots of tips here as we have a lot of nurses as members, who like yourself are moving to, or already live in Australia.
