Pilgrim in Florida

Hi all fellow ex-pats,
I am new to the site, but have been an ex-pat for 10 years. My wife and I dragged out kids across the pond to St. Petersburg, FL in 2000. 10 years on, the wife and I finally got degrees, the kids are graduating High School, and we've had quite an education into the US immigration process. I won't bang on about it as many fellow ex-pats in the USA will know exactly how it goes.
Some once told me that anyone who stays in Florida for more than 10 years will stay forever. I am ready to leave just as soon as my girls go off to college. Give me seasons, mountains (or even just hills), and air that is not permanently saturated with H2O.
Some will tell from my screen name and profile pic that I am a follower of the Green Army, Plymouth Argyle. Any others out there who used to love yelling OGGIE, OGGIE, OGGIE while munching a pasty from Ivor Dewdny's on a Saturday after noon? Give me a shout if you want to stress about this season's chances.
My final port of call in Blighty was Essex. This is a place that gets a lot of bad press. In my humble opinion it's all true...until you get past Chelmsford on the A12. Nothing like Devon, but many beautiful parts.
Anyway, here I am in the USA and on the ex-pats forum.
Peace.

Nice to see a fellow Janner on here, I was feeling particularly homesick today and your post made me smile
I'm going back for my best friends wedding in Plymouth in May and I am so looking forward to it!
