Default Newbie but oldie :)

Hi there, joined to gleem information on temporary working visa's in Australia.

I met a lady in Australia, spent a lot of my 4 week visit with her, and to cut a long story short, we fell in love!!!
Now, I'm no spring chicken, and not really used to this romance malarkey, but I wanted to know if it's possible
to get a temporary working visa, I can live at gf's house, or not, as the case maybe.
If I could get say a 3 month visa that allows me to work while there, that would be great, I've already scouted
some work in the area if this is possible. It would also give me time to see if she squeezes the toothpaste out
correctly.

This is more for next year, as I'm going back on holiday in November, but we have talked about it, so I thought
I'd start making enquiries.
I've looked on the Immigration site, but only find info on the 801 and 820 visa's, which are leading to PR, something
we need to see if I want first!!

She has a couple of business's and I'm a self employed Bricklayer, so it's very easy for me to shift work about.
I'm 55 if that makes a difference.

Any help appreciated
Ted

I'm going to admit, I thought that was a euphemism at first.

If you head over to the Oz immigration section of the forums, the good folks there will be able to help you work out if there is any visa you may be eligible for.

Best of luck to you.
