Hi there,
Just joined the site and I was wondering if there were any Brits in the area of Toledo, OH or Ann Arbor, MI. We are considering a move there at the moment and would love to hear from those of you who are living there.

I don't know about Toledo, but there was a couple in Ann Arbor, don't know if they're still there though.

Might want to check the BE map in the US section to see if anyone has pinned themselves to the area recently.

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.

Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.

Not sure about Toledo or Ann Arbor but I do know we have quite a few members living in Ohio and Michigan. They usually hang out in the US Forums...why don't you pop over there and take a look around?

I am not British but I know a bit about Ann Arbor, not too much about Toledo. Of the two cities, Ann Arbor is much more pleasant.

If you have any questions about AA I would be glad to try and answer them, or at least direct you to a good source.

I was in Ann Arbor the other day on a business trip. It's a fab place - lots of bars, restaurants etc and the place was hopping. It was a such a relief going there after the depressing autosprawl intermixed with burned out neigbourhoods which constitutes the Detroit suburbs and redeemed the State of Michigan in my eyes.

What?!! The Detroit suburbs are burned out? Which ones? Besides the Detroit area, what part of Michigan have you seen? Charlevoix? Traverse City? Perhaps Ludington or Alpena?
