My first Post and Planning to retire in Tyrone
Hi Everyone:
This is my first post and I would just like to say hello to the users of this site.
I left Omagh some time ago and have lived in New York, Canada, Australia and back to New York for the last 20 years.
After much thought I have decided on returning to my roots in the North of Ireland and and I am hoping it will happen in 2012! The good thing is I have family back there who are happy about my decision (I hope so!)
I would love to get feedback on returning/living in Northern Ireland as I can not see much discussion on this part of Ireland/UK.
I am looking forward to communicating with you all and have fun along the way.

We have had several members who have returned to Ireland. There is a BE forum dedication to Ireland...why don't you pop over there and take a look around. You may also be interested in our Moving Back To The UK Forums...some of the people who have returned to Ireland have posted in there. I have no idea how old you are but if you are middle aged take a browse through the 50's and 60's thread.
There may also be information of interest to you in the BE Wiki.
If you have any problems or complaints please contact a moderator...their names can be found at the bottom right hand side of the forum's index page.
If you need help navigating around the forums we have a team of concierges who will help you. Their names can be found at the bottom right hand side of this page.
Good luck and please shout out if you need any help...there's ususally someone around 24/7.

Hi Tyrone
I see Jerseygirl has pointed you in the direction of our Moving back to UK and Ireland forums, where I am sure there will be other folk from the North of Ireland posting. It must be quite exciting planning on returning home after so many years away, but I expect you are wondering how much it will have changed.
That just leaves me to say Welcome to BE and good luck with your return home.
Dread - x

Re: My first Post and Planning to retire in Tyrone
Hi All:
Many thanks for your welcome and I look forward to communicating with you all about my journey to move back home.
Is there anyone out there that hired international movers in NYC and sent stuff home to N Ireland as I think it is always better to get recommendations if possible.
Thanks,
Tyrone

Welcome to BE, I hope you enjoy being part of our community. The best thing would be for you to post your question about movers in the Moving Back To The UK forum as this section is mainly for introductions and hi's. The nitty gritty stuff will be in other forums
