Moving from Northern Ireland to DC area...
Hi all,
Am a 33-year old Texan whose been living in the UK for the last 9 years BUT so ready to move back to the States now!
My hope is to make the move to the DC area - Maryland in particular, by the end of this year, God willing. Have wife, 2 sons, will travel!
Anyway - am really looking forward to chatting with as many of you as possible - and hope to be able to put in my share's worth of advice, where practical!

Although we are called British Expats we do have quite a lot of American members...some who have lived in the UK and have moved back here...so you're in good company.
I love the DC area...it's a great part of the country to live...I wish you luck with your move. We have some fantastic members who post in the US Forums...why don't you pop over there and take a look around?
If you require any assistance finding your way around BE's many forums we have a team of concierges who will act as your tour guide...they will be pleased to help you. The concierge for the US forums is Kaffy Mintcake...please contact her if you need pointing in the right direction.
If you have any problems or concerns please contact a mod or admin. The mods for the US forums are Bob and MsElui.
Please give me a shout if I can be of further help. I look forward to seeing you in the US forums.

Super - thanks JG!
Particularly with regard to the 'finding your way around BE's may forums...' part - I swear, at first look I felt I had walked into an online version of a Spencer's Gifts shop - with bright colors and things blinking on and off everywhere! LOL - thanks for the tips, and yes, hope to grab a chat with you in the US forums,...I'll just follow the escalators now.
