Introduction - New Member - Living in Florida from Glasgow
Hi everyone,
Just joined the forum, I live in Naples Florida and I'm originally from Glasgow. I moved to the USA in October of 1968, I was 9 years old. My wife and I are thinking about moving to Glasgow for a year or more. I have a British Passport but my wife is a US Citizen. We’re thinking about buying a home and possible getting a job(s). Possible option of trading homes etc. Hoping to get some insight into our options. Looking forward to hearing from you. Michael

Hi mikmac and welcome to BE. You are living in one of my favorite cities to visit. My daughter once lived there and I loved going and visiting clam beach. Loved the walk through the mangroves.
Before directing you to the proper forum for your many questions on obtaining your UK spousal visa, which I believe is the best way for her to live and work in the UK, please have a read of the site rules. They are few and serve to help our community run smoothly. http://britishexpats.com/site-rules/
The lovely people in our Moving Back To The UK forum will be able to assist you, not only with obtaining the correct visa for your wife, but also in supplying information about home purchasing. http://britishexpats.com/forum/citizenship-passports-spouse-family-visas-uk-196/
There are several sub-forums under that umbrella and you will get everything you need in one or more of them.
It is hoped that you have obtained your own US Citizenship as it eases your coming and going from one country to another without need of a visa. You might well want to think about staying in Glasgow long enough for your USC wife to get British citizenship.
