Hoping to move to Ireland
New to the site today im a mother of two boys aged and 13 wanting to join my partner near Dublin, Ireland. I currently live in the North West of England. Feel so excited about the new adventure but i do have concerns about how my children will fit in to the Irish schooling system (especially the teenager!!) just wondered if anyone has any advice or similar experience?
Thanks for reading!!

Hello just to wish you a warm welcome from Malaysia
Do have a browse around the Europe forums. Some good folks there to guide you.
I have no experience of Ireland unfortunately but I do have some Irish friends and they are the most laid back and relaxed folks in the whole world so I suspect your kids will have no problems fitting in there.I hear Dublin is a great place . Enjoy!!

Hello and a big welcome to BE.
Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, there is also a lot more information in the Europe Forums. Yet another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.
Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.
Please contact me if I can give you any further help.

Hi Lonergan
Welcome to BE.
You have certainly come to the right place for anything you want to know about moving to another country.
I would recommend you check out our Ireland forum, which you will find by clicking on the 'forum inex' tab on the top left of this page. Scroll down the list of countires until you see Ireland, double click and you're in. Just say hi and ask your question and I am sure you will get plenty of folks answering you from thir experiences.
I notice one of your kids is 13. We also have a Youth club especially for teenagers, which you will also find on the main forum index page - scroll down past the countries, then past the section on working abroad by profession and you will see it in the next section. You teenager will probably get a lot of reassuranc from chatting with other expats his own age - in a 'parent free zone'.
All the very best with your plans
