I've been having a good read on here regarding visa's and options I may have with travelling from the UK.
I just felt I should say a quick hello before I start asking questions.

From what I have read, There seems to be a fountain of knowledge on here. Keep up the good work!!!

You can check the various forums... on the top left corner of your screen. And start shooting those ??s I am sure you will get your answers from other members who, yes as you said, are doing a great job.

Good! Thats what the forum is meant for, get all the info you want and share some too

Theres a Living & Moving Abroad forum here http://britishexpats.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=53 and that might be useful for you. You can start a new thread and am sure you'll get responses. Each country / region forum has many 'active' members, apart from Moderators, who will share info with you.

If you plan to travel to India, I'll try and chip in with info where possible.

So...keep posting

Most people posting on here are looking to make a permanent move to live in another country, not just for travelling buddies, you may find the odd one looking though.

Welcome to BE from me too.
Looks like you are finding your way around OK - and I can't see any problem with you asking about travel buddies - as there are some folks who spend part of the year in other countries and the rest in the UK - we have a fair old mix on here.

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.

Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.
