Hello & Spouse Visa Delay
Hello,
Found BE forum whilst researching reasons for the delay in my wife's spouse visa (nearly 21 weeks now).
My wife is Ukrainian and did her biometrics in Kiev on 31/05/2018, and applied for standard visa.
She is a Russian-speaker and I assume that this is one of the reasons for the delay. My wife laughs when I tell her that they probably think that she could be another Anna Chapman!
My wife received the 'not straightforward' email on 30/04/2018, and we were interviewed separately by telephone on 06/09/2018.
See that other people are having similar long waits on this forum.

Applied for spouse visa I’ve been waiting for 24 weeks, called Uk visa and the decision has not been made yet....
husband is in India ....
is it true it can take up to 9 months ?
If that’s the case then why does it say 6 months on their site?

Ok thanks.
I cant remember where I read this, maybe Richmond chambers website...
if the home office don’t give a decision 24 weeks don’t they have a duty to explain why it’s taking longer... customer standard policy ? I know Home office have a complaint department ... or does it NOT matter ? In reality there isn’t a time limit????
