Hello looking for info think i may have found it
Just thought id say a quick hello just found this forum but it looks like it may be the resource center i need.
Hve been looking at moveing to another country to work for some time now America was allways a dream having some familly over there and been enought times on holiday i allready know i can get a skilled visa to australia and have recentlly been looking at canada.
Hopefully some one from this site will point me in the right direction. I hope my skills and experiance will help me in my search.
City and guilds level 1,2,3 in paint refinishing.
NVQ Level 3 paint refinishing.
10 years experiance in waterborn paint systems.
I know from speaking to people that my experiance with waterborn systems will serve me well as the USA and australia are switching over to waterborn systems to complie with VOC regulations so hopefully that will be a string to my bow.
Anyway thanks for looking and hope to speak to everyone when i ask the million questions i have.

Hi Jason...welcome to BE.
It is extremely difficult to gain access to live and work in the US. I suggest you read through this...if you fit into one of the categories you may be in with a chance.
I suggest you open a thread in the Australia Immigration Forum...giving your qualifications and expectations...the people who post in there will do all they can to help you. We have a great bunch of people who post in our Australia Forums...they will give you tips and advice on life Down Under. The link I have given you will take you to the main index page of the Australia Forum...at the top of the page you will see a list of sub forums. The top forum is the Immigration Forum...the Main forum is for topics relating to Australia and The Barbie is for general chit chat. If you click on this link it will direct you to the index page of the main Canada forum.
Also take a look in the BE Wiki...you'll find loads of useful info in there.
Before you begin posting please take time to read through the Site Rules and any stickied threads or announcements that may be posted at the top of each forum's index page.
Kelli28 is the concierge for the Australia forums...AmyDavid is the concierge for the Canada forums...so if you have any problems finding your way around our many forums please contact Kelli or Amy.
For all other concerns or problems please contact a moderator or admin. Every BE forum has at least one moderator dedicated to that forum...Australia has 4...Cresta57, Monneypenny20,, Sonlymewalter and Alistairboyle. The mods for the Canada forums are Iaink and Christmasoompa
I hope you enjoy your time with us and don't forget to shout out should you require any help.

Forget the US as Jerseygirl said. You wont get in at all.
I think the real question of Canada or Australia lies in your views and beliefs.

I hope you enjoy being part of our community. As JG pointed out it's not as easy as one thinks to move to the US, so I suggest the first thing you do is to read the link to the wiki page that JG gave you and it will give you a better idea of what is involved.
We've got many members like yourself, who are still in the early stages of thinking about moving abroad so you are amongst kindred spirits here. As well as members who have already made the move and who I'm sure will be happy to share some tips with you.
