Hello Hazel,

Thanks for saying hello - it would be nice if you started your own new thread if possible but anyway, there's lots to read here. Enjoy B.E.

Hello again - welcome to B.E. - this site is mainly for people who have left the UK and gone abroad. Everyone is welcome to join of course but I'm not sure how many people will know much about your question.

There may be some people who have left the Channel Islands who can help?

I don't think I've seen much mention of the Channel Islands in our moving back to the UK forum but there may be something.

I did find this on google: http://forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=127004

Hi Hazel and welcome to the forum. Channel Islands? Gosh... does that count as abroad? Well you've stumped me there. As far as I know, and maybe someone will correct me, but I don't think we have a section for the Channel Islands. All I can suggest is to have a browse through the forum and see if you can find anything relevant to your situation. Hope everything works out for you

Hi, and welcome to the Forum! As mentioned, you wouldn't actually be an Expat!, but you can always try posting on the France forum. I seem to remember some one was thinking of setting up a business there after being in France, and they may still be around... Or even France members who used to live in the Channel Islands...

Hello and a big welcome to BE.

Excellent information can be found in the BE Wiki, not forgetting the Living and Moving Abroad forum that will help you, another set of great help is the permanent threads at the TOP of each forum, they are very pertinent to that particular forum and makes sensible reading.

Moderators deal with any problems that arise such as inappropriate posts, spammers etc, you will find their names at the bottom right hand side of each forum's index in bold font.

Please contact me if I can give you any further help.
