Hi There,

It is John and Lisa here, we are looking to come out to Australia Any advice would be gratefully accepted
This is all new, we have made a conscious decision as a family to move out of the Uk, this has been a long and hard decision!

We are hoping to be sponsored however we keep hitting wall at the moment cjould anyone suggest any good agencies to try, John currently works on the Railway as an Isolations Officer (aus) Nominated Person (uk) and is also qualified City in guilds as a Pipe fitter welder! Please any advice would be really appreciated

Thank you for taking the time to introduce yourself. Is there any particular area of Australia you want to move to?

Please could you repost your questions in our Australia Forum.? We have a great bunch of people who post in the Oz forums...they will give you tips and advice on life Down Under. The link I have given you will take you to the main index page of the Australia Forum...at the top of the page you will see a list of sub forums. The top forum is the Immigration Forum all questions regarding the immigration process should be posted in there. The Main forum is for topics relating to Australia and The Barbie is for general chit chat. Also take a look in the BE Wiki...you'll find loads of useful info in there.

Before you begin posting please take time to read through the Site Rules and any stickied threads or announcements that may be posted at the top of each forum's index page.

Alistairboyle is the concierge for the Australia forums...he will act as your tour guide to help you navigate the many BE forums. So if you have any problems finding your way around our many forums please contact Alistair.

Nothing to be scared about...you'll soon get the gist of things and there are always people on hand to help you out.

It's an idea to read through some of the threads in The Barbie and the Main Oz forum...that way you get to know the personalities. The British sarcastic sense of humour is rife on most of BE's forums...so what may look like a full blow argument to a new member is probably a bit of friendly sparing between old friends. Many expats miss the British sense of humour...that's one of the main reasons many of us log on to BE every day.

Don't be scared of BE - we're a nice bunch really - mostly mad - but nice !!
