Hallo from Martin
Hi all,
Britta and I are emigrating to New Zealand in July from Norfolk UK. We have strong family connections with NZ as my parents, brother and sister all emigrated 40 years ago, and we have been regular visitors ever since.
The option to emigrate has been in my thoughts all this time. However, I run a busy video production company in the UK and love my work. It's arts and community based, and we have produced a huge variety of work. I have always worried that the business might not adapt easily to New Zealand's culture and economy.
However, Britta has landed an excellent job in an Auckland university, and that swung it for us. The thought of making a fresh start is exciting and daunting in equal measures. Now we can't wait to get stuck in, and start enjoying the laid back Kiwi lifestyle and gorgeous landscapes. We have found a lovely temporary home in Titirangi, and have noticed this is a popular community with expats.
We would be very happy to meet any of you to swop notes etc. etc.

Hi Martin and welcome to the forum
I see you've found the NZ section already so that's good. Yes big moves are always both exciting and daunting....I think we've all been through that, but sounds like you love NZ and that's the main thing so enjoy the new adventure.
All,the best with the move.

Good luck with the move! Friends of mine from Canada just moved back to Canada after 5 years in NZ (got a job offer that couldn't be refused), they absolutely loved NZ.
