Be aware that, if you work at home you'll have to set up a French business structure which wouldn't cover both your speciality and B&B. And be sure to choose an area where there's a good internet coverage! Read the Read-Me: Moving to France FAQs at the top of the France forum, particularly "Partner Status" if you're not legally bound; Renting (you'll need to prove a regular monthly income 3-4 times the rent in order to be considered by landlords); the latest thread #19 on "Inactifs" which concerns healthcare coverage before you've set up your business and all the while your partner isn't working, and conditions for residency; "Schooling" if you're bringing children,..... That's for starters! I won't mention the wet and stormy weather which S.W. France has been suffering this spring. Hoping for better weather shouldn't be a factor when deciding to leave the UK!;) |
