G'day
My name is Pete and I was born in West Boldon. Now living about 30 k's north of Wellington, New Zealand.
We moved here about 27 years ago after living and working around Europe and I now run my own business related to the local oil/gas industries.
Married to the same lovely lady for 43 years and we have two kids plus two grandkids - in both cases one of each (aren't we clever!).
For relaxation I enjoy cabinet making and wood carving.

Hello Pete and welcome to BE!
You've been in NZ for a long time, it's been 4 years for me so far. Have a look at the NZ forum, plenty of debate and I'm sure you can give a good insight into how NZ may have changed over the years.

I see you moved to ChCh four years ago? That's what I call bad timing Hope you didn't suffer too much from the shaker.

Thanks Pete,
Luckily we were on the west side of town, minor house damage only and have had our EQC payout already. Yep, definite bad timing Lived in Palmy for a year, moved to Chch in Jan 2010 and currently in America temporarily, but will return to NZ.
